Capital Region Individual Artist Fellowships

The Capital Region Individual Artist Fellowship (IAF), administered by Teatro Nagual, in partnership with the California Arts Council, celebrate and support artists across disciplines who are shaping culture in the counties of Alpine, El Dorado, Sacramento, Solano and Yolo.
Teatro Nagual is proud to announce $240,000 in awards to the recipients across five counties of the Capital Region Individual Artists Fellowship.
The California Arts Council (CAC) Individual Artists Fellowship program supports exceptional individual artists and culture bearers throughout California by providing unrestricted funding to help sustain artistic practice and build long-term capacity. The fellowship recognizes artistic excellence, creative vision, and meaningful engagement with community while supporting artists at pivotal moments in their careers.
We were inspired by the incredible talent and creativity represented throughout this year’s applications. While we could not recognize every deserving artist with an award, we are honored to celebrate this year’s Fellows and excited to see their work continue to shape and strengthen communities across the Capital Region.
Congratulations to the recipients of the 2026 Capital Region Individual Artist Fellowship!
