Description

Employing trained and certified instructors who have passed background check, Teatro Nagual will touch on the farmworker movement of the 20th century and introduce Cesar Chavez and Dolores Huerta and their commitment to create change for the people they served. Using arts integration as a tesching method, we take this historical period in California history and bring it to the present, we use dramatizations and tableaus thus allowing students to create solutions for their own neighborhoods and communities. Finally, a short student driven musical piece will showcase what they have learned and how they too can make a difference. This twelve week course will meet twice a week and follows State Standards and will enrich and enhance curriculum with the objective of creating measurable and fun outcomes!
